What’s going on with the Barkers?…….

Well….sorry its been so long since I gave an update.  We are doing good, but very busy. Andy is finally in his last week of working 2nd shift so we will get to go back to our normal life again.  We have missed a lot of our gatherings with friends due to this schedule.  We are just so very thankful that he has a good secure job.  We have been super busy doing spring cleaning and getting our house ready for showings to start since we have it on the market again.  Pray that it sells this time! 🙂 The girls keep us very busy everyday.  Maelah is growing by leaps and bounds and is almost walking.  She is a very mischievous one and it scares me. 😛  Abree continues to soak everything up like a sponge and amazes us with her vocabulary, her understanding of things, and her 13-year-old maturity and attitude trapped in an almost 3 year old’s body.  I am looking forward to gardening; However, we are going to limit what we plant this year in case the house sells.  We are all enjoying the warmer weather and can’t wait to spend a lot of time outside this summer.  I particularly love this season, because of the beautiful storms that it brings.   Andy’s parents were able to stay with us off and on while they were in Illinois doing some ministry business.   It is always nice having them and of course the girls soak up every minute with Grandma and Grandpa.  For those of you who don’t know, I have also started my own photography business, specifically child-birth photography.  This initially took a lot of time to get started, but thanks to Andy and his skills, Barker Birth Photography is up and running and I am ready to go.  Please visit our site at www.barkerbirthphotography.com. We are also planning and looking forward to a vacation to Canada in May with our good friends Jamie and Jessica and their son Sawyer.  It will be a trip of camping, sight-seeing, various outdoor activities, and who knows what else.  We are very excited!  Okay…well….I think that was almost everything in a very random nut shell. 😛

Sitting here pondering all that we have been busy doing and all the unknowns, I was reminded of this scripture.

Ecclesiastes 3

A Time for Everything

1 There is a time for everything,
and a season for every activity under heaven:

2 a time to be born and a time to die,
a time to plant and a time to uproot,

3 a time to kill and a time to heal,
a time to tear down and a time to build,

4 a time to weep and a time to laugh,
a time to mourn and a time to dance,

5 a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them,
a time to embrace and a time to refrain,

6 a time to search and a time to give up,
a time to keep and a time to throw away,

7 a time to tear and a time to mend,
a time to be silent and a time to speak,

8 a time to love and a time to hate,
a time for war and a time for peace.

Here are some pictures to give you an idea of what we have been up to.
